Rob Golden
Rob established GO WEST!!! USA in 1994 out of his love for adventure
travel and his desire to share unique and exciting parts of the world with
the young people of our community. His unyielding dedication to providing
a quality service and a unique learning environment for teens is the
driving force behind GO WEST!!! USA. As a former classroom teacher and US
Marine, Rob has seen and done a lot. He has lived in London, Kailua, the
Netherlands, Japan and many places in the US.
Rob's trekking and climbing
adventures have led him across the country and around the world. He loves
telling personal tales of adventure and exploration to the teens who join
him on his expeditions. He loves new adventures and seeing the world
through young people’s eyes. Rob views the outdoors as an environment
where teens are able to fully explore and express themselves. When leading
a GO WEST!!! USA expedition, Rob is sure to mix the outdoors with creative
fun. Rob now lives in Harrisburg and enjoys climbing, snowboarding,
mountain biking, hiking and playing guitar. |

Laura Skalkowski
Laura joined the GO WEST!!! USA team in January 2005. As a recent
graduate of Messiah College, she has used her marketing and creative
skills to assist with fundraising and program promotion. Laura has always
loved the outdoors, but GO WEST!!! USA has taken that love to a whole new
level.
Laura has traveled throughout the country
with GO WEST!!! USA to places such as Sequoia National Park, Devils Tower,
The Grand Canyon, and Mexico. With each expedition being bigger and better
than the one before, Laura eagerly awaits the next opportunity to lead a
new group of young people to experience the great outdoors. Besides being
part of GO WEST!!! USA, Laura also enjoys playing the guitar and spending
time with her family.

Lequan
"Q" Jones
Lequan comes to us from Los Angeles, California. Having spent 4
years with the Orange County Department of Education in their Outdoor
Education Program, he brings a wealth of information and experience. He
loves the outdoors, to him, it doesn't matter if he is snowboarding in
Aspen or climbing San Gorgonio, he is right at home. Lequan has extensive
knowledge in Astronomy, Forestry, Wildlife and Group Management... we are
lucky to have him on board. Lequan volunteered full-time at GO WEST!!! USA
during 2004 in our Volunteer America Program, and managed the first year of our localized redesign effort. Having exceeded our expectations in this position,
GO WEST!!! USA made the investment to expand our program staff by bringing
him on board as program director August 2004. Lequan will continue to oversee our
Pennsylvania expansion, while also focusing his energy on helping our
program grow nationally.
